I got out ALL my watercolor paints today so that I could create a new pallet based on this floral arrangement. I was loving the pinks + bright oranges, mixed with yellow + lavender. I just had to have a paint set that mimicked these colors.

Proof that you don’t need expensive supplies to make art. Your time and effort will have a bigger impact on your work than the quality of your supplies.

The true magic of watercolor is in the water. Working with vibrant colors + watching them bleed and blend together as a real joy.

The rain held out yesterday and we were able to enjoy the garden and sit and draw mandalas. I love that we all started with the same framework and each of us made it our own.

Dinner’s cooking on the stove and I’m sneaking in a little painting time. I’ve been looking forward to turning my sketches into watercolor paintings. My daughter informed me that the watercolor version looked better than the sketch.
